SignWaves is a dynamic and collaborative flute ensemble based at the UQ School of Music, embracing a diverse range of repertoire of varying ensemble strengths from solo flute to flute choir. Their debut release, New Works for Flute Ensemble showcases brand new compositions by UQ students, Monash Lal and William Elvin. A rich and eclectic journey exhibiting the incredible expressive range of the flute, from velvety lyricism to percussive attacks, from bass flute to piccolo, New Works for Flute Ensemble represents a rich contribution to flute ensemble repertoire and a thoroughly engaging listen.
