Ray April - Chasing Echoes
Format: EP
Release date: May 23, 2024
In Ray April’s words, “we chase echoes of the past – the memories, emotions and unique bonds”. On her upcoming EP Chasing Echoes, each song is a heartfelt letter to one of her dearest friends.
Ray April’s group of friends trace back to the 7th grade, where playing tag defined their youth. In their final year of high school, the six of them bought back the tradition, maintaining a continuous game across their final months of school. After graduation, they all went their separate ways, pursuing different futures in different countries across the globe – and yet they kept growing closer. Their game of tag remains a symbolic thread, and Chasing Echoes is an extension of this dedicated friendship.
Ray April hopes that through Chasing Echoes her listeners will be introduced to the distinct worlds that each of her friends has forged for themselves, where they'll recognise the unique essences that she sees in them.
